Instructor roles vary depending on the needs of our partner colleges and institutions. Positions may be full-time, part-time, or adjunct, with or without benefits, depending on the institution. Compensation is determined by each partner school and discussed with the school’s program director during the hiring process.

Qualifications
WE’RE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:
- 3+ years of professional grooming experience
- The ability to pass the AKC–CT certification (required), which includes hand-stripping a wire coated dog and carding a jacketed dog.
- A commitment to pursuing advanced certifications such as Master Groomer status (NDGAA, ISCC, or AKC)
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed
- A dedication to maintaining high standards of safety and grooming excellence
What You’ll Teach
As an instructor, you’ll guide students through the full range of grooming techniques, from safe handling and basic bathing to advanced styling, breed-specific grooming, and skin/coat care. You’ll also:
- Track student progress through hands-on hours, grooming checklists, and workbook assessments.
- Model durable skills such as professionalism, customer service, time management, and stress management, preparing students for success as professional groomers.
